Meet Mrs. Bruzan
Welcome to the new school year. My name is Dorothy Bruzan. I received my Master's Degree in teaching English as a Second Language from the A.Mickiewicz University in Poland. I furthered my education at National Louis University. This is my 22nd year of teaching English as a Second Language. I also sponsor the International Club. My husband and I have two children and three dogs. My passions include playing the guitar, singing folk music, reading historical fiction especially if written by Michael White, gardening, and canoeing.Just like my students, I try to learn new things every day. Here are a couple of quotes that help me stay motivated:
Advice from a dog: "Unleash your talents, and learn new tricks no matter your age."
Advice from a river:"Go with the flow. Immerse yourself in nature. Slow down and meander. Go around the obstacles. Be thoughtful of those downstream. Stay current. The beauty is in the journey!"
I am convinced that any child can learn if we tap into his/her hidden talents. With the help of your parents, and teachers, we can all be successful.
Please feel free to contact me [email protected], if you have any questions. Have a wonderful and productive year!
